What kind of mentors do we have?
We have two kinds of mentors at DevCore: Regular mentors and occasional mentors. Our regular mentors are paid members who support our learners and client projects with regular mentorship sessions, coding/design sessions, guidance and oversight. Our occasional mentors are industry experts who give webinars and talks once a month.
Want to be a mentor?
We are always looking for mentors! Our interview process is simple - we just need to know that you have a passion for the tech industry, a strong resume and technical background, and a love for guiding the next generation of eager industry professionals. If you like teaching people and you have either coding or UI/UX skills? Then get in touch!
Ideally we are looking for people with 1-2 years of industry experience, i.e. someone who knows the ropes, but hasn't forgotten the pain of learning these skills for the first time.
What is your design and development process?
Mentoring gives you an unmatched feeling of fulfillment; you get to help learners grow their skills, prepare for their first jobs in the industry, and sharpen your own leadership, coordination and tech skills while receiving compensation. As they say, the best way to learn is to teach. Your dedication to the learners is what allows DevCore to continue providing free education and foster a supportive learning community.
DevCore is a flexible commitment. Feel free to join as a mentor and set your own hours. Would you like to mentor every day? We have students who would love to meet you! Once a month? Then let's set up webinars! Somewhere in between? Contact us and we can set up a schedule that works for you 🙂
